Dead Space 2 is a survival horror FPS developed by Visceral Games from the original Dead Space. It's been released for the PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. The new feature which Visceral Games added to the new Dead Space 2 is a multiplayer feature which allows gamers to play on a network with other online gamers.

The storyline continues from the original Dead Space where Isaac Clarke escapes the USG Ishimura (planet cracker) on an escape pod.

Isaac Clarke, the protagonist is played by you and your job is to survive the infested planet via some com-links of mutual friends made along the game in order to survive a new threat, dementia. The dementia is a psychological disorder which the protagonist faces throughout the game play which causes delusions.

Metal Gear Solid

In 1998 Konami released Metal Gear Solid for playstation selling more than six million copies and is said to be the reason the stealth genre become popular in gaming. The game is about a soldier named Snake that must infiltrate a nuclear facitlity ran by a terrorist group named FOX. As you play the game, many different cutscenes will be played showing the story and major twists in the story which keeps the game very interesting and fun.  Along with the various cutscenes, alot of the main story if unfolded in a codec radio, where the main character Snake will have a 2-way conversation with someone, which is a really cool addition to the game.

Very sneaky

As one of my favourite games, I never get tired of the great story and twists that each of the Metal Gear games presents, and along with fun gameplay it is hard to put down.

Skate Series

With Activision dominating the skateboarding game genre for so long, it seemed as if noone could step up to the challenge.  That was before EA games developed a new game called Skate in 2007 selling more than Activision's Tony Hawk's Skater by a ratio almost 2 to 1. One of the reasons the game is so successful is probably the great gameplay. To pull off tricks the player is required to use the thumb sticks in a way that really feels like you were doing an ollie or kickflip. For example a player would have to control the characters foot by sliding the thumbstick towards the top left or right edge of the deck to pull off a kickflip or heelflip.  This kind of realistic gameplay made it fun and challanging to land flip tricks, grind rails or air out of transitions.

Each game in the Skate series has great gameplay, soundtracks and character customization options, I would definitely recommend playing all three.

Amnesia

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a low budget survival horror game developed by Frictional Games. The goal of the game is to discover the protagonists past while surviving through a series of monsters and puzzles without any sort of defence apart from hiding.

Since it's release, Frictional games have released an extra free level for all its steam customers allowing further enrichment of the storyline.
From experience, this is one game you would not want to play alone in the dark with an environment of complete silence. Take a look:
